Mercedes -Benz India has unveiled its 2021 strategy along with a new motto ‘Reimagining Excellence’. The car maker has planned to launch 15 new products this year which will be a mix of new models and facelifts.

Mercedes-Benz India sold 7893 units from the period of Jan – Dec 2020. Despite the COVID pandemic, sales grew by 40% in Q4 2020. 14% of sales in 2020 came via the online platform. The models that led the sales were the C and E Class sedans, and the GLC, GLE and GLS SUVs.

The first lot of the EQC and the AMG GLE53 have been sold and the second lot will be coming in soon. There is also a waiting list on the GLE and GLS SUVs. The car maker mentioned that the Made in India AMG GLC43 Coupe has received a great response.

The product launch offensive will begin from Q2 of this year and Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed that the first models to launch will be the A-Class Limousine and the new GLA SUV. This will be followed by the AMG GT Black Edition supercar. We also expect the E-Class facelift and the new S-Class to launch in India in the second half of the year.
