The Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet concept has been revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It is based on the Mercedes-Maybach 6 Coupe that was unveiled last year.

The concept measures 5700mm in length, 2100mm in width and 1340mm in height. The Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet features a large front grille along with a long swooping bonnet and 24 inch alloy wheels. The wheels have a centre lock painted in rose gold. The rear features a unique boat style design. Other highlights include slim LED headlights and full-width OLED tail-lights.The interior features white Nappa leather, a dashboard that runs end to end of the fascia, touch sensitive controls and digital displays. The instrument cluster feature analog needles. The custom-made fabric top comes with with interwoven rose gold threads.

Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet power train

The Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet is powered four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, and features all wheel drive. The flat battery sits in the underbody. Total power output from the electric motors is 750 horsepower. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in under 4 seconds and has a limited top speed of 250 kph. The car has an electric range of 500 kms.

The quick-charge function is also visionary: as a result of DC charging based on the CCS standard, the system allows a charging capacity of up to 350 kW. In just five minutes enough power can be charged to achieve an additional range of around 100 kilometres.

Production of this new Maybach drop top will be limited to 300 units.
