The new seventh generation Lexus ES300h has been launched in India at Rs. 59.13 lakh ex showroom India. The new ES will be sold as a CBU, Bookings for the car are now open.

The new ES300h is built on the new new Global Architecture – K (GA-K) platform.  It feature all LED headlamps with L shaped DRLs and the trademark Lexus spindle grille. It now has a longer wheelbase that translates to more legroom of 998.6 mm. There are new 18 inch alloy wheels.

On the interior, Lexus offers four colours and three trim options. Along with Black, Chateau and Topaz Brown, the ES also introduces a light new Rich Cream interior that adds a contrast to the deep brown dashboard and roof trim. There is a choice of two shades of Shimamoku wood trim (black, brown), as well as light-colored Bamboo. Each stitch in the soft padding of the instrument panel is embedded to give a 3D effect showing off Takumi craftsmanship.

Other features include a 7 inch screen for the instrument cluster with a large analog tachometer, digital speedometer and MID display, HUD display, 12.3-inch Electro Multi Vision (EMV) for the infotainment system, wireless charging ,a 17 speaker Mark Levinson Pure Play sound system 454 lites boot space and a full size spare wheel.

The ES300h is powered by a 2.5 litre four cylinder petrol engine with the fourth gen Lexus Hybrid drive system that gives a combined output of 215 horsepower. The powertrain is mated to a CVT gearbox. There are three drive modes: Eco, Normal and Sport.

Safety features include 10 airbags, Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, and Anti-theft system, with break-in and tilt sensors.
