Tata Motors has revealed their new SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2018. Christened the H5X, it is the easily one of the show stoppers at the expo this year.

The front features a uniquely styled grille and high mounted slim LED headlamps.  The  fog lamp inserts feature what the Tata Motors calls ‘tri arrow pattern. There are large 22 inch alloys and the concvept features a side step that lowers down when the doors are opened. It gets a sloping roofline and smoked wrap around tail lamps. There are skid plates at both the front and the rear.The interior features a radical design crafted out of high quality materials. The H5X gets a chunky steering wheel and a digital instruent cluster. There is a touch screen in the centre for the infotainment system wood trim across the dashboard. It gets a rotary knob for the gear shifter similar to the Jaguar Land Rover models. There is a panoramic roof and two individual seats at the rear.

The production version will be built on Land Rover’s L550 platform and will come in five and seven seater versions. Tata officials confirmed that the production version will be close to the concept and we really hope that it does. Power could come from a Multi-jet diesel engine in different states of tune.

Once launched, the new SUV will rival the Jeep Compass in India.
