Back to the good things, the roof mounted air-con is a nice thought and cooled the cabin effectively every time. The parents were also ferried around quite a few times, and they liked the rear seat comfort. Getting in and out was easy too, and being senior citizens, this is a big positive. They also like the rear windshield sun shade.  The front seats are also comfortable with adequate support, and the electric adjust for the driver’s seat works well. Other niceties include the auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers.

The Yaris may not have set the sales charts on fire for Toyota and it may not be the most value for money proposition out there. But after 1500 kms of driving, I can say that the Yaris is a very practical car. It may not be outright fun to drive, but when it comes to getting from point A to point B in a no fuss manner, it works perfectly. Except a flat tyre on one occasion, the car performed flawlessly throughout its time with us. As a sensible and stress free car, the Toyota Yaris fits the bill perfectly. That’s all for now folks.
