The Jaguar F-Pace has been around in the Indian market for a couple of years now. When it was launched, the F-Pace was sold as a CBU, which meant it was pricey. Come November 2017 and Jaguar announced local assembly of their SUV, and this move brought down the price by a whopping Rs. 20 lakh. That’s quite a substantial price cut so the first thing that comes to mind is probably there’s quite a bit of equipment that might have been deleted as well. That’s what we have to find out. Since we have reviewed the Jaguar F-Pace in detail before, this review will focus only on the ‘Made In India’ model.

2018 Jaguar F-Pace Diesel Exterior

The Jaguar F-Pace is still one of the most beautiful and stylish SUVs on the road today. The locally made F-Pace is available in a single Prestige variant only. The rest have been discontinued. But the best part is Jaguar hasn’t skipped on the goodies. Some features that were optional on the CBU Prestige are now standard on this model. On the exterior, it gets Adaptive LED headlamps and 19 inch alloy wheels. Of course, we still love the curvy lines and the F-Type inspired tail lights. Also, the Caesium Blue shade of our test car is very eye catching as well.

Coming to the interior, it is identical to the imported version. The Riva Loop that combines the dashboard and the doors is one of our favourite design elements of the cabin. Quality of materials used is great overall but there are some plastic bits here and there which could have been better. In terms of standard equipment, there’s a lot on offer here. There’s a 10.2 inch touch screen for the infotainment system with navigation, digital instrument cluster, four zone climate control, super sounding 380W Meridian sound system, multi colour ambient lighting, activity key band, front and rear parking sensors with rear view camera, 10 way adjust for driver’s seat with memory and electrically reclining rear seats. What’s missing is ventilated seats, 360 degree camera, electrically operated tailgate and the spare wheel is now a space saver.
