The 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS300d has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 84.70 lakh. This is the third generation of the four door coupe.

On the exterior, the 2018 CLS gets a diamond radiator grille with a single slat and large three pointed star in the centre. Multibeam LED headlamps are offered as an option and the rear features LED tail lamps as standard. There is a two piece rear bumper with a black diffuser insert. The car comes with twin spoke 18 inch alloy wheels as standard.

On the interior, the CLS300d comes with a 12.3 inch Widescreen cockpit for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system. There are three display modes to choose from: Classy, Sporty and Progressive. The multifunction three spoke steering wheel comes wrapped in nappa leather and features touch control buttons and paddle shifters.

Other features include a 590 W 13 speaker Burmester sound system, electric sunroof, ambient lighting in 64 colours, 360 degree camera etc.

Powering the CLS300d is a 2.0 four cylinder turbo-charged diesel engine that develops 245 horsepower and 500 Nm of maximum torque. It does the 0 to 100 kph sprint in a claimed 6.4 seconds and a has a top speed of 250 kph. The engine comes mated to a 9G Tronic automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. There are 5 drive modes on offer: Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual and Eco.

The CLS comes with AIR BODY CONTROL as standard with 3 modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The suspension automatically lowers automatically by 15 mm at speeds above 138 kph.

Service packages for the CLS300d start at Rs. 90,000 for a period of 2 years.
