After a long delay, the new 2021 Skoda Octavia has launched in India. It will be available in two variants. The Style is priced at Rs. 25.99 lakh and the L&K is priced at Rs. 28.99 lakh ex showroom India.

Dimensions wise, the 2021 Skoda Octavia is is 4,689 mm long, 1,469 mm tall, 1,829 mm wide, and comes with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. Its gets a classic trademark Skoda grille finished with black slats and chrome surrounds. There are new slim bi-LED headlamps with DRLs. There are five exterior paint shades on offer: Lava Blue, Candy White, Magic Black, Brilliant Silver, and Maple Brown. Thhe last two exclusive to the L&K variant. There is also a choice of two 17 inch alloy wheels.

The interior features a layered dashboard design with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (Virtual cockpit). The cabin features a two tone beige and black scheme and there is a new two spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters.

The feature list includes two zone climate control, 12 speaker Canton sound system, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging, electrically adjustable front seats with memory, front and rear parking sensors, 8 airbags, ABS with EBD, Fatigue Alert, USB C Ports in the dashboard and Centre Console , a USB C port behind the IRVM, smart cargo elements, hooks, and net restraints for the luggage compartments and sun blinds. Standard boot space is 600 litres that goes up to 1,555 litres after folding down the rear seats.

The new Octavia will be powered by a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine putting out 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7 speed DSG gearbox that uses shift by wire technology and sends power to the front wheels. Skoda will not be offering a diesel engine on the Octavia.

The 2021 Skoda Octavia rivals the Hyundai Elantra in the Indian market. Skoda will also be launching the new Kushaq in India in the near future.
