The 2021 Tata Safari has been launched with prices starting at Rs. 14.69 lakh and going up to Rs. 21.45 lakh for the range topping Adventure Persona Edition.

The new Tata Safari carries the Impact 2.0 Design language and is based on the OMEGARC architecture and gets a higher roof line just like the older Safari. The new Safari will come with three rows of seats and is overall longer than the Harrier that it share the underpinnings with. It is 63 mm longer and 80 mm taller than the Harrier. The new Safari gets a larger third row window with roof rails bearing the Safari inscription, flatter tail gate and redesigned tail lamps.

The interior features an Oyster White theme along with an Ashwood dashboard. Most features will be carried over from the Harrier. However the Safari could come with Tata’s new iRA connected car technology. It also gets an electronic parking brake and all round disc brakes.

The feature list includes 18 inch alloy wheels, HID Xenon headlamps , JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof, 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment, 7 inch digital display in the instrument cluster, 6 airbags etc.

The Safari is powered by a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine developing 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to either a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. The Safari will be available only as FWD currently but a 4×4 could be seen later in the future.
