After a long wait the BMW G310R and G310 GS motorcycles have finally been launched in India. BMW Motorrad has officially opened bookings for both . models in June 2018. While the G310 R is priced at Rs. 2.99 lakh, the GS310 GS can be yours for Rs. 3.49 lakh.  Both bikes have been developed at BMW Motorrad Germany and a re built at the TVS factory in Hosur in India

The G310 R and the GS310 GS both get a reversed cylinder design. Both bikes are powered by a single cylinder 313 cc liquid cooled engine that develops 34 horsepower and 28 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six speed gearbox. Other features on both bikes include a tubular steel frame, five spoke alloy wheels and two channel ABS. Both go from 0 to 50 kph in a claimed 2.5 seconds and have a top speed of 143 kph.

The motorcycles have a torsionally stiff, highly robust tubular steel frame in grid structure with bolt-on rear frame. The front wheel suspension features upside-down fork while at the rear there is an aluminium swinging arm in conjunction with a spring strut that is mounted on it directly. The suspension geometry is designed for easy handling, stability and a neutral cornering response. At 180 mm, the GS has 40 mm more than the R.

The G310 R and GS310 GS get styling elements from their bigger cousins. While the R features a short wheel base, aggressively styled headlamp along with . muscular fuel tank. the GS features the trademark beak emerging from the headlamp mask, protective windshield and luggage bridge.

Both the models come with a standard three year/ unlimited kms warranty which can be extended to the fourth and fifth year. Finance schemes are also being offered by BMW Financial Services India where monthly instalments start at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively. This also includes Road Side Assistance.
