Kia has made its debut in India with the Auto Expo 2018. The car maker has revealed the SP Concept SUV which will be the first product to go on sale in 2019.

The SP Concept feature the trademark Kia ‘Tiger Nose’ grille up front. There are slim headlamps along with large fog lamp units. It gets large alloy wheels as well. At the rear it gets chrome elements in the bumper and tail lamps that look similar to the Creta. It also gets a contrast roof finished in silver.Peter Schreyer, Chief Design Officer of Kia Motors Corporation, commented, “Over the last few years, SUVs have become the vehicle-of-choice among Indian buyers.  Combining the comfort and space of a sedan with the ability to tackle all kinds of terrain, we intend to storm the market with an SUV that will set new parameters in motoring. It’s still a concept – so it’s a little bit exaggerated – but the actual production car will be very close to what you see here at AutoExpo 2018.”

The Kia SUV will rival the Hyundai Creta when it launches next year. Along side the SP concept Kia has also displayed 16 models from its global portfolio at the Expo.
