The Mercedes-Benz GLC facelift has been launched with India with prices starting at Rs. 52.75 lakh for the GLC200 and Rs. 57.75 lakh for the GLC220d 4Matic.

Styling updates on the exterior include new LED headlamps with new design daytime running lamps, restyled front grille and bumper with skid plates, 19 inch alloys as standard, redesigned LED tail lamps and rear bumper.

The GLC facelift marks the Indian debut of the MBUX infotainment system on Indian spec Mercedes-Benz cars. There is a new 10.25 inch touchscreen . which uses the voice command ‘Hey Mercedes’ to perform various functions. The infotainment stem can also be controlled by a central touchpad. Other features include two upholstery texture choices, panoramic sunroof, 64 colour ambient lighting etc. The spare tyre is no longer placed in the boot but is stored below the boot floor thus freeing up space in the loading area.

The GLC facelift comes powered by BS VI compliant petrol and diesel engines. These include a petrol engine 1991cc 197 hp and 320 Nm torque and a  Diesel engine 1950cc 194 ho and 400 Nm torque. Both engines are mated to a 9 G-Tronic automatic gearbox. The GLC220d gets the 4Matic all wheel drive system standard.

The GLC is available in 6 exterior paint shades.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC rivals the the Land Rover Discovery Sport, Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the Volvo XC60 in the Indian market.
