The MG Hector Plus at been launched at a starting price of Rs. 13.49 lakh ex showroom going up to Rs. 18.54 lakh. It will be offered in four trim levels – Style, Super, Smart and Sharp.

The MG Hector Plus is based on the Hector SUV that was the car maker’s first launch in India. While dimensions are the same, the Hector Plus is 65 mm longer. It also comes with redesigned headlamps, new mesh for the front grille and reworked bumpers.

The Hector Plus comes in a three row seating configuration. It gets individual captain seats in the middle row, so that makes it a six seater. A seven seater version with a bench middle row is expected to follow later.

Features of the MG Hector Plus include 10.4 inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple Carplay, connected car tech, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, Infinity sound system, LED headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, heated ORVMs, auto headlamps, electric front seats and a hands free opening tail gate.

Safety kit includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitor and a 360-degree camera.

Engine options include a 170 hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox; a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor with a 6-speed DCT automatic; and the same petrol engine combined with a 48V mild-hybrid system and  a 6-speed manual ‘box.
