Tata Motors has officially revealed the Punch micro SUV. The car maker has also announced opening of bookings for the Tata Punch for an amount of Rs. 21,000. It can be booked across dealerships or online.

The Tata Punch measures 3,840mm in length, 1,800mm in width, 1,635mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450mm. It comes with a ground clearance of 187mm and has a boot capacity of 366 litres. It comes with dual tone 16 inch alloy wheels, body cladding and 90 degree opening doors.

The Tata Punch will be available in four trim levels: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. As far equipment goes, the top end model gets features like a semi digital instrument cluster, 7 inch touchscreen harman infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, IRA connected car tech, auto wipers, auto projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and push button start. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, rear view camera and parking sensors.

The Tata Punch comes powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that develops 86hp and 113Nm of torque. It will come with the choice of either a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic gearbox. 

Prices for the Tata Punch are expected to start from Rs. 5.5 lakh ex showroom. Rivals will include the Maruti Ignis, Mahindra KUV100, Nissan Magnite and the Renault Kiger. Tata Motors is likely to launch and announce prices of the Punch on 20th October 2021
