Tata Punch Interior

Just like the Altroz, the doors of the Punch open wide at a 90 degree angle, which makes ingress and egress very convenient. The Punch gets a two tone interior and a layered dashboard. The floating 7 inch Harman touchscreen infotainment sits flush in the centre. The body coloured AC vents look cool and the dashboard also features tri arrow textures. The three spoke flat bottomed steering feels nice to hold, and there is a semi digital instrument cluster with a 7 inch screen. The driving position is nice and seeing the bulge on the bonnet gives that SUV feeling. Fit and finish is good all round except for a few hard plastics at places. The feature list includes auto climate control, cooled glove box, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, follow me home headlamp function, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, push button start, fog lamps with cornering function, Harman sound system, voice recognition and cruise control. I would have liked a front arm rest too, very useful In the automatic. A sunroof would be nice as an option in one of the packs, and would suit the funky styling of the Punch well.

The range topping Creative Persona also gets the IRA Connected Car tech as an option. IRA includes location based services, live vehicle diagnostics, remote commands, Gamification, vehicle security features and over the air updates.

The seats come with fabric upholstery and have the tri star pattern on them. The front seats are comfortable and have good support. They are a little on the firm side though.  The driver’s seat also gets height adjust. The rear is comfortable for three occupants. The flat floor makes it easy for the centre passenger. Head room and legroom is adequate even for decently tall people. There are no rear AC vents though. What’s impressive the 319 litre boot. It is deep and there is enough space for two large airport bags and a couple of smaller ones. The rear seat can also fold down for more cargo space.
