Volkswagen T-Roc Interior

Step inside and you are welcomed by a very Volkswagen cabin. The interior feels solid, built to last and well put together. But for a car at this price point, you wont find soft touch plastics anywhere. The light gold finish on the grey dashboard looks great and the piano black on the centre console adds a nice touch. The centre console is also slightly tilted to the driver. As far as the equipment goes, there’s quite a bit on offer. It gets a digital cockpit instrument cluster, dual zone climate control, 8 inch touch screen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sun roof, keyless entry and go, auto engine start stop, front and rear parking sensors and rear view camera.

The seats of the Volkswagen T-Roc come finished in Vienna leather upholstery and feel premium. The front seats are well sculpted out and have great support. They come with the heating function but are not ventilated. Strangely there is no electric adjust, not even for the driver’s seat. The seats themselves have good travel though. The front seats also have storage drawers under them, which is a good addition.

Take a seat in the rear and you realize that this is not a car that you want to be driven around in. Knee room is at a premium and head room is alright for medium sized adults. Those who are on the taller side of six feet will  find headroom compromised, even though VW has scooped out the roof at the back. Under thigh support is good though. The rear seat is best for two and the occupants get cup holders in the rear central arm rest and AC vents as well. The boot is decent at 445 litres and can be increased by dropping down the split fold seats.
