Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Interior

The interior tells the same story too. If you’ve been in, or own the regular Tiguan, then you will right at home here. The cabin gets an all-black theme and the dashboard has a very simple layout. Nothing fancy here. Fit and finish is top notch and quality of materials is premium. There is a fully digital instrument cluster similar to Audi’s Virtual Cockpit. The flat bottom steering wheel feels great to hold but looks largely similar to that on the Polo. The 8.0 inch touchscreen infotainment is slick to use and features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The additional feature list includes a panoramic sunroof, three zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, rear camera and powered tailgate.

The front seats offer great support and the driver’s seat features electric adjust with memory function. You don’t sit too high like other SUVs though, but it isnt difficult to find the perfect driving position. The second row is a nice place to be in. The seats are wide, they can slide back and forth and even the backrest can be reclined. Legroom is generous and there is also an abundance of head room and shoulder room. While seating three is not a problem, the tunnel in the centre can make things little uncomfortable for the middle passenger. The second row passengers also get foldable trays and a 12V power socket. Talking about the third row, which is the highlight of the Allspace, getting in isn’t an easy task and once seated, it isnt the most comfortable place around. Knee room is limited and so is headroom. Kids and short adults will not have a problem though. Taller individuals might be able to sit for short city drives, not more. The second row folds down in a 40:20:40 split, while the third row goes down in 50:50 split. Boot space with all rows up stands at 230 litres, that goes up to 700 litres with the third row folded down.
