vol1Swedish car maker Volvo is planning four new launches in India before the end of 2016. The company recently launched the T8 plug-in variant of the XC90.

Volvo will launch the new S90 in India on November 4, 2016. The S90 replaces the old S80 in the model line up. The car is based on Volvo’s modular SPA platform. It will be powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel motor in 2 states of tune. At launch, only the D4 variant developing 190 horsepower will be available followed by the 235 horsepower D5 later. The S90 will go up against the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and the Jaguar XF in the Indian market.vol2Volvo is also bringing in the R-Design variant of the XC90 to India. The R-Design will come with cosmestic upgrades like restyled front and rear bumpers, larger alloys, twin exhausts, flared wheel arches with silver roof rails and wheel arches. Power will come from the same 2.0 four cylinder iesel engine that does duty in the regular XC90.vol3The V40 and V40 Cross Country are the other two models slated for launch y the end of this year. They will come with a restyled exterior that includes new front and rear bumpers, redesigned front grille and Thor Hammer LED daytime running lights. Mechanically both cars are expected to remain unchanged.
