Volvo’s upcoming flagship sedan, the S90 has been leaked through pictures of a scale model which show the car in full detail. The S90 is set to replace the ageing S80 and will be launched in 2016. The pictures were posted on a Chinese website.

The S90 takes styling cues from the Concept Coupe. It features sleek headlights with the Thor Hammer style LED daytime running lights like those on the XC90 SUV. It has a sloping roof line along with large headlights with typical Volvo styling. The car gives a coupe style stance when viewed from the rear three quarter. The ‘Volvo’ lettering finds place on the boot between the tail lights.  The S90 gets chrome finished dual exhausts. Substantially larger than the S80, the S90 will also come with more interior space for passengers.

The S90 features Volvo’s new Scalable Product Architecture and is expected to be powered by four cylinder engines. An estate version is expected later.
