2017 Toyota Corolla Altis interior

The interiors of the Altis feel as airy as before and there are some changes inside the cabin as well. There are lots of soft touch materials all around that give a premium feel. A slightly redesigned centre console houses a larger touch screen with a new infotainment system. It comes with pre loaded apps, navigation, Mirror Link, Voice Control, USB, Aux and Bluetooth. The infotainment system also gives you a rating on your driving style. While the system functions well, the icons do look a bit basic and could have been better. We like what we saw in the Innova Crysta and the Fortuner better. There are new controls for the AC, that feel nice to the touch. Other changes include circular air con vents on the side and new steering controls. Our test car was the fully loaded VL trim that comes with loads of standard features like 10 way electric adjust for the driver’s seat, auto dimming mirror, electrically foldable rear view mirrors that tilt down when you engage reverse gear, push start / stop, sun shade for the rear windshield, auto climate control and a rear view camera. However things like a sunroof, ventilated seats, front parking sensors are absent. It doesn’t even get one touch lane indicators. These features are a must have in a car of this segment. The front and rear seats both offer great comfort and support. The rear seats can also be reclined to a certain extent. There’s lots of legroom too. The rear seats can be folded down in a 60:40 fashion to increase boot space.
