Hyundai has launched the Elite i20 petrol with a CVT automatic gearbox with prices starting at Rs. 7.04 lakh. The CVT model will be available in two trims, Magna Executive and Asta.

Hyundai had previously launched the Elite i20 automatic with a 4 speed torque converter gearbox mated to a 1.4 litre petrol engine. The CVT box comes with the same 1.2 litre petrol motor that is seen in the manual transmission variant. The engine develops 83 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque.

Features in the Elite i20 include a 6 inch touch screen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, rear AC vents etc.

Safety features across the different variants include 6 airbags (top end), ABS with EBD, parking sensors and reverse camera with dynamic guidelines.

The Hyundai i20 CVT rivals the Maruti Baleno CVT in the Indian market.
