The Tata Harrier was launched in January 2019 after being showcased as the H5X concept at the 2018 Auto Expo. While the Harrier is easily one of the best looking SUVs out there, there was room for improvement in terms of power, features list and overall refinement. My biggest gripe was that Tata Motors did not offer an automatic gearbox on their flagship SUV from day 1 despite the Hexa having it. But Tata has made amends and this here is the 2020 Tata Harrier, with a host of updates that include a more powerful BS VI diesel engine, additional features and that all important automatic gearbox. I gave the new Harrier a good workout, and spent some quality time with it on a drive from Pune to the hill station of Panchgani and back. Read on for more.

2020 Tata Harrier Exterior

As I said earlier, there is no doubt that the Harrier looks like a million bucks. For the 2020 version, Tata has introduced two new colours, the Calypso Red and the Sparkle Cocoa. While the former looks absolutely smashing on the SUV, the latter is very subtle but still very likeable. The exterior otherwise is largely unchanged. There are new design 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels which look so much better than the earlier ones. The ORVMs are smaller in size, which reduce the big blind spot that was existent on the previous model. However, I was never fond of the chrome trim on the D pillar and still feel it looks out of place.
