I had totally loved the Citroen C3 when I drove it first back in June 2022. While it fell short on features, the mechanicals were sorted and I truly found it to be a fun to drive enthusiast car. And I found it to be quite the looker too with its funky styling. Now in just over six months, the Citroen eC3 makes its debut in India. This is the first EV from the French manufacturer and I got a very brief drive of the car on the Wabco test track on the outskirts of Chennai so these are just first impressions.

Citroen eC3 Exterior

Looks wise the Citroen eC3 is pretty much identical to its petrol sibling. It retains its chic styling and the design is quite a standout when you see the car on road. The dimensions are also identical and the car measures 3,981 mm in length, 1,733 mm in width, and 1,604 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,540 mm. What distinguishes the eC3 is ‘e’ badging on the front fender, an eC3 badge on the boot and the flap for the charging socket is on the front fender. Surprisingly you will also find the petrol filler flap at the rear but that is sealed. You get a host of customization options with the eC3. These include 4 monotone body colour options and 6 dual tone options with grey and orange roofs. Additionally the eC3 gets 3 more dual-tone options with a polar white roof. The eC3 gets 15 inch steel wheels with ‘Tessera’ wheel covers, but alloys are available as an option. The battery pack is mounted under the floor giving the car a ground clearance of 170 mm, 10 mm less than the petrol model.
