The Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV has been launched in India at Rs. 44.95 lakh ex showroom at the Auto Expo 2023. This is introductory pricing and will be valid for the first 500 customers only. This is. Hyundai’s second EV for India after the Kona.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is powered 72.6kWh battery, which gives a claimed range of 631 km on a single charge. Power wise the electric motor develops 217 hp and 350 Nm of torque.

The features list comprises of two 12.3 inch screens for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system along with HUD, 20 inch alloy wheels, BOSE sound system and a highlight of the Ioniq 5 is the vehicle to load function, where the car can power multiple electronic gadgets like mobile phones, notebook computers etc. The function can be used via two ports: one located under the rear seats and another outside the car, near the charging port. 

The Ioniq 5 will be locally assembled in India which gives it tax benefits when compared to a CBU which is what its cousin, the Kia EV6 is.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be available in 3 colours – Gravity Gold Matte, Optic White and Midnight Black Pearl.
