Jaguar’s plans for an F-Type SVR have recently been confirmed by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations boss John Edwards and news reports say that it will put out more than 600 bhp.

The F-Type SVR could use the existing 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine that is seen in the F-Type R. This currently makes 542 bhp and 680 Nm torque but has been previously tuned to 567 bhp in the F-Type  Project 7. The F-Type SVR could do the 0 to 100 kph sprint in less than 3.8 seconds. It is not known if the SVR will be offered as a coupe or convertible. The fact that Jaguar could both versions cannot be ruled out either.
