Lexus RX450h Interior

The cabin of the Lexus RX450h has excellent fit and finish. The switches and button are of high quality, the leather used is top notch and the brushed aluminium trims add a touch of class. The instrument cluster features a large tachometer with a silver outline and an illuminated needle. A digital speedometer and gear indicator are located in the centre of the tachometer. There is a 12.3 inch screen at the centre of the dashboard for the infotainment system. It is controlled via a joystick style controller on the centre console. The controller is pretty sensitive and does take time getting used to. A nice analogue clock occupies space between the front AC vents. The dashboard look does feel a bit old school though with a lot of buttons all around. The three spoke leather wrapped steering feels nice to hold. Paddle shifters are mounted behind the steering, and there is an F-Sport logo at the base of the steering wheel in the F-Sport model. The Luxury trim model does not get paddle shifters. The steering gets electric adjust tilt and telescopic reach.

The front seats are large and comfortable. They feature 8 way electric adjust with memory function. The F-Sport seats also get fantastic bolstering on the sides. The rear is good enough to seat three passengers. Rear passengers get their own AC vents. The rear seats fold down electrically to free up more boot space. While there is sufficient legroom, there could be a lack of head room for those who are six foot plus. The dual zone climate control manages to cool the cabin instantly. This was during a very hot Mumbai afternoon.  For the music lovers, the RX450h features a Mark Levinson sound system with 15 speakers and a sub woofer.  A panoramic sunroof is also standard along with a rear view camera. Boot space is adequate and Lexus provides a spare wheel as well. The boot gets the electric closing function.
