I have driven this engine is lower state of tune in the Thar, but in the XUV700, its just something else.

The XUV700 has received a full 5 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests and its just goes to show how our home grown manufacturers have made safety a priority. There are a host of ADAS features on board as well and they works just the way they are supposed to. These include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Smart Pilot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Drowsiness Detection System, High Beam Assist, Auto Booster Headlamps and many more.

And finally the price. Mahindra launched the XUV700 last year at a starting price of Rs. 11.99 lakh for the entry level petrol. While those prices have increased with time the base model still starts at a shade above Rs. 13 lakh and for that you get a very powerful 200 horsepower petrol engine with the good bundle of features. Mahindra has done well to spread out the variants and feature bouquet and that includes 5 and 7 seater options.  To sum it up, the XUV offers so much in terms of features to price ratio and the multiple variants mean there is an XUV for everyone. With such an excellent value for money proposition, no wonder the queues to acquire one are getting longer by the day. The XUV700 had blockbuster written all over it from day 1 and it isn’t difficult to see why. Mahindra has truly made a world class product and I can’t wait yo see what comes next. As for me, make my XUV700 in Electric Blue with a diesel automatic and AWD combo.
