AMG GT S

Mercedes Benz India will be launching the AMG GT S super car in India on 24th November 2015. It will be sold in the Indian market as a fully imported CBU. It will be launched by five time DTM champion Bernd Schneider who will be present at the event.

The AMG GT is powered by a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine that develops 503 bhp in the S version. It does the 0 to 100 kph sprint in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 310 kph. The car has a rear wheel drive layout and the engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.

The AMG GT share similar styling cues with that of the SLS AMG. It gets a long bonnet and short tail in typical tourer style. However the iconic gullwing doors of the SLS have made way for conventional door layout in the interest of weight saving.

Mercedes Benz has so far launched 13 new models in India this year and the AMG GT will be no. 14 inline. Going by the company’s 15 in 15 plan, we can one more launch before the end of this year
