The next generation Mercedes Benz E-Class has been testing in disguise for quite sometime now. RM Design has now come up with this rendering of the new car.
The new E-Class will be similar in design to the S-Class and the C-Class with some fresh design elements. It will be based on Mercedes’ MRA platform and will be longer and lighter than the current car. It is likely to come with new straight six cylinder diesel engines including a new 2.9 litre diesel motor developing 313 bhp. A quad turbo version of the same engine putting out 400 bhp is also expected.
The new E-Class is likely to debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in early 2016.
