The Skoda Karoq SUV was showcased in India for the first time at the Auto Expo 2020 and was launched in our market last month. Now, the facelift version of the Karoq has been spotted testing for the very first time.

The model in the spy shots isn’t camouflaged completely, so changes are not visible at first glance. On a closer look, the front grille appears to be new with a different design for the vertical slats. The bumpers also appear to have got a styling update. At the rear, the Karoq could get a full LED light strip running across the tail gate and new elements in the tail lamps.

The source of these pictures has mentioned that the interior has not been covered so expect the same cabin to be carried forward in the updated model. The Skoda Karoq that is sold in India is powered by a 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine putting out 150 horsepower and comes mated to a 7 speed DSG gearbox that sends power to the front wheels

Whether the Karoq will get any mechanical updates, is unknown yet. Expect the Skoda Karoq facelift to break cover globally sometime in 2021.

In India, the Skoda Karoq rivals the Volkswagen T-Roc and the Jeep Compass.
