The Skoda Rapid TSI automatic has been launched with. prices starting at Rs. 9.49 lakh for the Rider Plus going up to Rs. 13.29 lakh for the Monte Carlo Edition (ex showroom)
The Skoda Rapid TSI automatic is powered by a 1.0 TSI three cylinder petrol engine that develops 110 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6 speed torque convertor automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The new model delivers a 5 per cent upsurge in power and a 14 per cent rise in torque output. At the same time, the new RAPID TSI Automatic Transmission offers a 9 per cent increase in fuel efficiency against the previous motor.
Features on the Rapid TSI AT are identical to those on the manual variants. A 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard on the Rider Plus. The higher trim variants get features like an 8.0 inch touchscreen, auto headlamps and wipers, reverse camera, cruise control, auto dimming IRVM etc. The Style variant also gets side airbags.
The Skoda Rapid TSI AT will rival automatic variants of the new Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Vento.
