The Tata Nexon EV has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 13.99 lakh ex showroom. The Nexon EV will be available in 3 variants and will be sold across 60 dealerships in 22 Indian cities.

The Nexon EV comes with Tata’s new Ziptron technology for EVs. It is powered by a 30.2 KWh lithium-ion battery combined with an electric motor that produces 129 hp and 245 Nm of torque. The Nexon EV does the 0 to 100kph sprint in 9.9 seconds and has a restricted top speed of 120kph.

Features across the variants include automatic climate control, 7 inch touch screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Harman audio system, keyless entry and go, 16 inch alloy wheels, dual tone colour options, The XZ+ Lux gets an electric sunroof, auto headlamps and auto wipers.

A standard 15 Amp AC charger can charge the Nexon EV to 100 percent in 8 hours. A fast DC charger can charge the car from 20 to 80 percent in the span of an hour. Tata Motors is offering an 8 year/1,60,000 km warranty on the battery and electric motor. The standard vehicle warranty is for 3 years/ 1,25,000 kms with the option to extend it to 5 years.

Tata Motors will be proving a free home charger with the Tata Nexon EV. Additionally, along with Tata Power, they will set up 300 fast DC chargers across India by March 2020. This number will go up to 650 by March 2021. Mobile charging facilities will also be made available.

The Tata Nexon EV will be offered in three colours: Signature Teal Blue, Moonlit Silver and Glacier White.
