Volkswagen Taigun Verdict

So should you buy the Taigun? It’s a great looking SUV with equally nice interiors and quality that is top notch. It has the German build quality that you come to expect and is tough. On the flip side, it isn’t a proper 5 seater and is down on features when compared to rivals. But the biggest USP of the Taigun is in the way it drives. The 1.5 litre TSI is a gem with fantastic performance combined with great handling and ride quality. Plus it gets two competent gearboxes as well. The 1.0 TSI remains to be driven, but after having sampled it in other VW models, I expect it to be fun too. Prices are likely to be announced next month and we expect them to be between Rs. 11 to 18 lakh. So if you are looking for a tough, fun to drive SUV, but can compromise on a few features, the Volkswagen Taigun certainly fits the bill.
