Ford Motors India recently issued a recall for some of its cars. Among the vehicles that have been are the Aspire (compact sedan), Figo (hatchback), Freestyle(crossover) and their flagship SUV, the Endeavour.

While the Aspire, Figo and Freestyle belong to the latest production period, the recalled Endeavours date back to as far as 2004, all the way to 2014. The former three have been recalled for inspection of the wiring looms of the Battery management system (BMS). The Endeavours, on the other hand, have been recalled for issues with the airbag inflators.

While there has been no confirmation on the total number of cars affected by this recall, Ford, in its letter to the press, stated that it over 22,000 endeavours have been recalled. It also stated that each customer would be contacted individually to get the vehicle inspected at Ford dealerships to ensure peace of mind.
