The first thing that catches the eye is the new radical ‘Twin Peaks’ logo, which is housed on the huge vertical six-slat chrome front grill. Overall, the seems like an evolution of the XUV5OO but by Length of 4695mm is bit longer, the width remains same at 1890mm. Surprisingly, the 7OO is shorter in height by 30mm. At 2,750 mm, the wheelbase is longer than that of the XUV500 by 50 mm. Mahindra has also worked on weight reduction, and at 1,620 kg, it is lighter than the XUV500 by almost 100 kg . There are C-Shaped DRLs integrated with LED headlamps, and the XUV7OO gets cornering fog lamps to enhance safety while driving. On the side, there is black cladding over the wheel arches and the are muscular haunches over the wheel arches, though not very aggressively styled. The MX and AX3 will get steel wheels, the AX5 will come with 17 inch alloys while the top end AX7 will come shod with 18 inch diamond alloy wheels.  The Arrowhead LED taillamps compliment the car well, and you get sequential turn indicators as well. The tailgate is entirely made of composite and we confirmed there would be no compromise in safety due to this.

The SUV gets segment first smart door handles. Yes, usually seen on luxury cars where door handles pop out when unlocked and retracts when locked. Mahindra has made this a standard feature across all variants. The 7OO also gets a unique feature of Auto Headlamp Boost where a larger section of the road gets illuminated when doing 80 kmph or above.
