The Toyota Fortuner needs no introduction. Ever since its India launch in 2009, this SUV has ruled the hearts of enthusiasts, politicians and the who’s who around. The second gen that came in 2016 was a huge improvement with a nicer engine and a long feature list that positioned it as a more modern and premium SUV. Toyota has now give their flagship an update which is more than skin deep, and what’s more new model in the lineup, The Toyota Fortuner Legender. This one comes with a little more oomph and goodies. I spent a few days with it to know more.

Toyota Fortuner Legender Exterior

The Legender was initially launched in 2WD but at the time of this review going live Toyota has added the 4×4 version as well. Let me get one thing out of the way first. The Legender is a looker. The Lexus spindle inspired front grille has oodles of presence. And the quad LED headlamps along with the waterfall DRLs add a touch of class. They also feature dynamic turn indicators. The front bumper is also redesigned and has a sporty touch. The new 18 inch alloy design is exclusive to the Legender as is the dual tone white and black paint shade. At the rear, there are redesigned tail lamps and it gets subtle Fortuner badging just above the number plate. The Fortuner was never short of street presence but these updates on the Legender take desirability factor a few notches higher.
