2021 Tata Safari Seating

The new Tata Safari comes with 6 and 7 seater options with the former getting captain seats in the middle row. The captain seats are offered in the range topping XZ+/XZA+ variants. What will remind you of the old Safari is the stadium style seating layout. Wherever you sit, you always get a clear view of the road ahead. The front seats are very comfortable and very supportive. As mentioned earlier, the driver’s seat gets power adjust in the top variants. The second row bench seat has reclining backrests and they fold down in a 60:40 split to allow access to the third row of seats. The captain seats can also slide forward and backward to give you more space and there is a Boss mode lever that lets you adjust the front passenger seat for legroom from behind. This will keep chauffeur driven owners happy. There are foldable armrests for the captain seats and USB charging slots in the centre but accessing them isnt easy. There are no sun blinds for the middle row either. The captain seats fold down and have a one touch tumble function but you do have to bend a bit to access the third row since the aperture isnt very wide. Another way to access the third row is by walking in between the captain seats. Once you sit in the third row seats, you realize that it is quite comfortable place to be in. Our fellow team member Priyank felt quite at home with his 5’9 frame. Another plus is that you don’t sit as much in a knee up position either. There are AC vents on the C Pillar sills and you also get two USB charging slots and AC blower controls.
