Tata Nexon EV Charging

So now coming to another important part of this review. How do you charge the Nexon EV? First up, Tata Motors claims a certified range of 312 km on a single charge, which realistically should be around 240 to 250 km depending on the driving style and regeneration. Tata Motors will provide a charger with the Nexon EV that will charge the car from 20 percent to a full charge in around 8 hours with a 15 ampere AC plug point. It can also be charged from 0 percent to 80 percent with a DC fast charger in about 60 minutes. Tata Motors will also be working with Tata Power to setup chargers across major cities in India and at Tata dealerships as well.

Watch the video below to see how the Nexon EV can be charged:

The ride quality does feel a little bit on the stiffer side but nothing to complain about. The suspension is well calibrated and soaks in all the undulations and potholes from the roads and high speed stability is great too. The steering feels light at low speeds in the city and weighs up nicely as you go faster. Braking power is excellent.

Tata Nexon EV Verdict

The Tata Nexon EV is a very practical and well developed compact SUV. It is easy to drive in the city and gives you great performance on the open road as well. There is no shortage of features and the Nexon EV is pretty loaded too. And it has everything that is loved about the standard Nexon. Sure, the range anxiety still remains but with the EV market developing, that should not be a worry going into the future. The Nexon EV is expected to be priced between Rs. 15 to 17 lakh and that makes it pricier than the regular Nexon. But what you get is an EV that you can realistically use every day and take that step towards a green future. It is a great package that can be a game changer in the Indian EV space.
